Description :	Quart de cercle sur pieds de Langlois. Un quart de cercle ou quadrant est un instrument ancien de mesure des angles en partiuclier de la hauteur des astres au-dessus de l'horizon. Il est constitué d'une lunette de visée mobile accolée à un secteur de 90 degrés finement divisé. L'Observatoire de Lyon possède trois quart de cercle du 18e siècle, deux sont mobiliers (sur pieds) et le troisième est mural. Ce quart de cercle possède sa lunette mais sans optique.

Historique :	Langlois était le fournisseur officiel du Roi. Originellement au Bureau des Longitudes, il a été prêté à H. Flaugergues, astronome amateur à Viviers et a finalement rejoint l'Observatoire de la ville de Lyon en 1831 après le décès de Flaugergues.
